The Big News

Spring has sprung, to use the old cliché, after much anticipation. Along with increased sunlight and colorful blossoms comes the familiar rekindling of my wanderlust, which I have decided to take to the extreme this fine season; big burly men will soon knock on my door to pack up all my wordly knick knacks (which is a daunting task) and ship them and me off to Colorado. That's right, dear readers - I am switching jobs and states and climates by abandoning the familiarity of Hampton for more exotic climes.

Details have not yet been clarified, but I'm thinking that this will all take place in mid-May, which is startlingly soon. I am currently alternating between sextreme sexcitement, significant stress and tearful melancholy. I'll miss everyone that I've come to know and love here in Hampton Roads, and of course the move will bring me further away from other family and friends along the east coast. But the thought is, now is the time to take risks before I'm old and grey and have the 15 cats and rose bushes to worry about.

So, I hope that you'll all keep in touch, wish me luck, and give my number to all your friends in the Denver area. We've got a few weeks left - we better make the most of it!
